Marva Louise Peay

1942 ~ 2014

Marva Louise Peay, age 71, passed away on May 20, 2014 in Provo, Utah. She was born on June 14, 1942 to Charles Gordon and Jessie Levon Peay (Adams). She was born and raised in Provo, Utah, where she graduated from Provo High School and Provo College.

Marva worked for Kmart of Orem for over 20 years, and during those years she gained many lifelong friends. She loved meeting with "the Kmart Ladies" for their monthly dinner, and wouldn't miss it for anything. After Kmart, Marva began working for Blendtec, where she truly enjoyed her job and the people she worked with. Blendtec offered so much love and support through her fight with cancer. Marva's family will always be grateful for that love and support shown to her. Anyone that knew Marva, knew of her love for all things Elvis and Betty Boop. She enjoyed yard sales and frequently traveled to Heber to ride the Heber Creeper with her family.

Marva fought a very courageous fight against cancer for the last year of her life.

Marva was preceded in death by her father and her mother; her brother, Charles Robert Peay; her sister, Donna Lee Adamson (Peay); her son, Kelly Trent Peay; her niece, Karen Joyce Lee, and 2 brothers-in-law.

Marva is survived by her daughter, Marchelle Turnbow (Peay); her sisters, Lael Lee and Jolene Thomas; her brother, Karl (Deon) Peay; 3 granddaughters, Heather, Megan, and Lindsey Turnbow, and 3 great-grandchildren, Bryden Turnbow, Wyatt Jarman, and Maci Calton.

Marva's family would like to thank the staff of Lake Ridge Senior Living, Hospice of Utah, and Sean from Home Health.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walker Sanderson Tribute Center (85 E 300 S, Provo) as well as Friday, May 23, 2014 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM.
