Karl Harding

Karl J Harding

Husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and loyal friend passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on November 9, 2016. He returned home into the loving arms of his Savior after his ongoing battle with Lewy Body Dementia. During his fight he stayed a gentle warrior; so patient and kind. He greatly appreciated every small thing that was done for him, but he hated “Lewy”. He was born to Oren Dale Harding and Essie Arlene Radmall on February 14, 1941. He attended Provo High School where he was an active athlete; participating in wrestling and pole vaulting. With his love for pole vaulting he took state, won the BYU Invitational in 1959, and had many medals to show for it. He took strives to achieve his goals and was an avid businessman. April 8, 1960 he married the love of his life and sweetheart, Ilene LaVon Jepperson (Stella), they shared 56 loving years together. He dedicated 30 years of his life to his company, Karl’s Distributing, where his main focus and determination was customer satisfaction and happiness. After his retirement the company remained within the family, with Troy Harding as the new owner. His company was the rock for our family and light at the end of the tunnel when things were dark, and it will always leave an imprint on all of our lives. He had a passion for bowling and anything outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and golfing were just a few of his favorites, he was even a member of the Copper Golf Club for many years. He is survived by his loving wife, Ilene; their children, Tami (Tim), Tracy (Michael), Troy (KaeLynne), and Tifani (Eddie); 19 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and siblings, Stan (Shiela), Rayola (Bruce), and Janet (Earl); and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oren D. Harding and Arlene R. Harding; brothers, Val Harding and Douglas Harding; and grandson, Suede.

A special thank you to Yolanda, Ruth and Della at the Utah Hospice and to the supporting family and friends who have helped us during this difficult time.
