JoAnn and I met when we were three years old. We were best friends all through school. JoAnn attended Joaquin Elementary, Farrer Jr. High and Provo High. She worked for Barbazon for a year and then went to UVSC to get her nursing degree. She worked at Utah Valley Hospital for many years in the pediatrics area. She had a lot of patience as she worked with the children and their parents. After her parents died she lived in the family home. She was close to her nieces and hephews. She loved animals and had two dogs. She had a stroke several years before she died. She filled a Health Services mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
When my 5-year-old daughter was at Utah Valley Hospital having her tonsils out, JoAnn was her nurse. It was good to see her and see her kindness to the children. I am sorry to hear that she passed away.
