So saddened to hear about Katerine's passing. Seems like just a short time ago I was reading post from her mission in Hong Kong. She will be missed by many and know how much she was loved! Until we meet again!

My sincere condolences to Gary and the family.  I always admired and respected Kathy.  She was

a remarkable person--intelligent, gracous, fun, and accomplished.  And she will hold a fond spot

in my memory of New Year's Eve parties in junior high to young married couples' get-togethers.

In high school and for the last fifty-five years I have admired Katherine and Gary and still do.  The mission in Hong Kong is a great tribute to both of them.  This Friday will indeed be a sort of "black Friday," although I am conviced that they will be together again.  Bob and Shauna Valentine, Highland, Utah.

Katherine Tueller Stott

1942 – 2015

Katherine Stott, 73, was surrounded by family and friends who loved her deeply when she passed away on November 22, 2015.

Katherine was born March 8, 1942 to Walter and Elvena Tueller. She grew up in Provo, where she spent the majority of her life. She graduated from Provo High School, and Brigham Young University where she received a Bachelors of Science and a Masters of Education. She was a school counselor in Alpine School District for twenty plus years, where she worked with elementary, junior high, and high school age students. She loved helping young people, and most enjoyed those who needed someone to talk to.

Katherine married Gary Stott in the Manti Temple in January 1964. They are the parents of three children, and have ten grandchildren. Her family was the joy of her life. Everything she did was centered around activities with children and grandchildren. The children are Shauna Godfrey, (Todd), Gregory, (Jennifer), and Lisa Mecham, (Ryan). She is survived by her three sisters, Sally Finch, (David), Anne Ahlstrom, (Blythe), and Mary Stewart, (John).

Katherine and Gary recently served a Church mission in Asia Area, Hong Kong. She loved the time she spent counseling young missionaries. She served and worked with the Area Presidency planning and providing activities for General Authorities who visited Hong Kong, and Mission Presidents serving in Asia Area. She had a special love for the women who were members of the Church who were domestic helpers working in Hong Kong. They loved her dearly, as they worked together in her assignments in the Branch and in the Temple. When it was time to go home, she was very sad to leave the Senior Missionary couples that she loved so much.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Oak Hills 9th Ward, 1960 North 1500 East, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Friday from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the church Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
