I doubt that many of you were aware that Michael was a very gifted artist, especially oil paintings. I helped him and his family move to Las Vegas (Lucky's Markets Manager) in the early 60's and in return he gave me a beautiful desert scene. I cherished it for years. Having so small a home now I could not find a place for it so I contacted Michael's little brother Tim (produce manager at Macey's in Spanish Fork) and had him deliver it to Michael's daughter who lives in Southern Utah. He said he was going down soon to have Michael's work done in the St. George temple. I kept in touch with Michael throughout my life and visited him several times through the years. Through the latter years he had a very difficult time. Sometimes the decisions we make are truly devastating. He was a special friend and I truly loved him. He died in April 2004.
