My friend (Mon Ami) Gaylen Robbins died way too young. I still have contact with his widow, Mary. She has re-married and their sons have grown into very successful and responsible people. The following is from Gaylen's obituary, which along with their wedding pictures, I still have.


Gaylen Kaye Robbins 38, beloved husband, father, son and brother, passed away November 9th, 1980, in Salt Lake City. Born Jan. 12, 1942, Provo, to John M. and Virginia Bloomquist Robbins. Married Mary Kouris, Salt Lake City, July 1, 1962. Attended Provo schools, University of Utah and the Technical College in Darlington, England. Member of the Prophet Elias Greek Church. While attending the University of Utah he played on the baseball team. Since then he has been active in coaching many Little League teams and in 1979, he coached the championship team.
Survivior: wife and two sons, David Troy Robbins and Michael Shawn Robbins all Salt Lake City. Parents: Riverside, California. Two brothers, Ronald E. Robbins, Tennessee; Michael R. Robbins, Riverside, California; his father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Kouris, Salt Lake City.
